We stopped in Verona on our drive from Venice to Milan. As we walked over the bridge into town, I thought I was looking at the chocolate river that Augustus Gloop fell into in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Still, it was prettier in person.
Of course, we had to check out Casa di Giuletta, a house and museum, with a stone balcony, said to have inspired Shakespeare. It was really crowded so we didn’t spend much time there. Grabbed a few photos, bought a few things in the gift shop and left.
Next up, lunch.
Verona was a little disappointing because it just seemed like more of the same. Touristy, with the same shops and lots of people walking around. But we still walked around, got gelato and saw more alleys (which I LOVE). And, of course, I photographed more bicycles. Or biciclettes, if you will.
While driving to Milan, we made a stop where I saw this FABULOUS lady and couldn’t resist photographing her from the car. The outfit, the red truck, the blue sky - I loved everything about this.
