After two weeks of walking around Florence, Rome and Venice, we decided that instead of walking around Milan, we would drive to Lake Como and get out on the water. We lucked out and had an incredibly beautiful day. Look at that blue sky!
We left our hotel and were in Como in under an hour. Once we arrived in Como, we parked the car, walked over to the ferry terminal and bought tickets to Bellagio. Little did we know it would take TWO HOURS to get to Bellagio. Some pics taken during the long, but enjoyable, ride.
After a while, it stopped being enjoyable (we just wanted off of the boat!) and Juliana started copying Michael’s every move to pass the time.
Still not in Bellagio so here are more photos from the ride :)
Finally in Bellagio. Which is beautiful, if a bit too touristy. We walked around a bit, poked into some shops and had lunch.
Later that afternoon, we boarded the ferry and headed back to Como. Naturally, the ride back was just as beautiful as the ride there.
We passed by George Clooney’s villa but decided not to stop by because we had things to do. Sorry, George, maybe next time.
Family was getting restless.
Finally back in Como and over to the funicular. Gorgeous views from the top!
Ended our day at Lake Como with dinner before driving back to Milan. It was THE perfect way to spend our last day in Italy.
